Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain automated UI tests with Playwright for Angular and React applications.
- Build API automation, regression suites, and integration suites for Spring Boot and Python microservices.
- Translate requirements into reproducible test cases and own functional and regression testing for a product area.
- Validate data end to end from API requests through microservices to MongoDB.
- Run automated suites in CI, triage failures, and fix flaky tests.
- Document defects and drive them through resolution.
- Expand automation coverage and contribute improvements to shared testing capabilities.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, review acceptance criteria, and identify testability gaps before development.
Requirements
- Require 2–4 years of QA experience with hands-on test automation.
- Require Playwright experience, or Selenium/Cypress experience with willingness to transition to Playwright.
- Require experience using TypeScript/JavaScript or Python for test automation.
- Require solid REST API testing experience with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Pytest.
- Require programming ability in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Require database and data-validation knowledge; MongoDB or other NoSQL experience is preferred, with SQL welcome.
- Require familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and running automated tests as part of development workflows.
- Require knowledge of testing fundamentals, test design techniques, risk-based prioritization, and the defect lifecycle.
- Prefer exposure to AI/ML products, performance testing with JMeter or k6, basic security testing, Docker, Kubernetes-based testing, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude.
- Require an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
