Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-performance systems and modules using Java, Spring, and SQL.
- Own estimation, design, development, testing, production delivery, and mentorship for critical components and systems.
- Drive scalability, performance optimization, debugging, and memory profiling for systems processing large datasets and complex computations.
- Collaborate with business units, product management, quality assurance, business analysts, operations, database administration, and other stakeholders.
- Develop functional and non-functional specifications and transition complex legacy business logic to modern systems.
- Provide production support, define recovery procedures, and identify and resolve root causes of failures and defects.
- Plan and execute unit, functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Work in an agile and continuous integration environment using software development lifecycle tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience developing with Java technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Java, object-oriented design, design patterns, distributed messaging, Spring, ORM, relational databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and multithreaded server-side development.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, writing unit tests, and performing Java performance tuning, debugging, and memory profiling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and development workflows using Jenkins, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Preferred experience with financial markets, futures and options, quantitative financial risk models, and risk management systems.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, OpenShift, Tanzu, Apache Airflow, Netflix Conductor, Redis, Hazelcast, advanced Spring frameworks, and JNI integration with native C++ libraries.
