Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test conditions, scenarios, and edge cases.
- Perform manual, functional, smoke, sanity, regression, integration, API, and UAT testing across application components and business flows.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test data, coverage mappings, and other test artifacts.
- Execute manual and automated tests, document defects with reproduction steps, track defects to closure, and report test status.
- Manage test cycles, cases, defects, and requirement traceability in Jira and Zephyr.
- Perform API testing for REST, SOAP, and RPC interfaces using tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Build and maintain automated tests for web applications and web services using Playwright, Selenium, Java, and C#.
- Support unit-test practices, code coverage, and integration of automated tests into DevOps and CI pipelines such as Jenkins and Bamboo.
- Identify manual regression tests for automation and progressively convert them to automated coverage.
- Collaborate on requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, defect triage, release readiness, environment readiness, and quality documentation.
- Investigate issues across UI, API, and data layers and document reusable test patterns and lessons learned.
- Explore and apply GenAI, LLM, agentic AI, MCP, multi-agent systems, and AI-assisted testing for test generation, test data, and defect analysis.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant software quality engineering experience covering manual, functional, and automation testing.
- At least 2 years of hands-on API testing experience with REST, SOAP, and RPC using Postman, Bruno, or similar tools.
- At least 2 years of hands-on automation testing experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, XUnit, or NUnit.
- Strong experience with requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, test execution, and defect lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with Jira and Zephyr or equivalent test-management tools.
- Working programming skills in Java, C#, or Python and understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of DevOps and continuous-integration tooling, plus knowledge of XML and HTML.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal English communication skills.
- Basic understanding of architecture design concepts and software development lifecycle processes.
- Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic AI concepts and practical use of GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred experience includes financial services or payments, ISO 8583, Cucumber, SpecFlow, SonarQube, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, PowerShell, and CSS.
