Responsibilities
- Design and implement shared infrastructure components that improve service availability and scalability.
- Build and improve CI/CD infrastructure, practices, and automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Develop tooling and automation that increases platform accessibility and product engineering velocity.
- Implement and improve system monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Build and maintain highly available, performant, resilient, and cost-efficient systems.
- Deploy infrastructure across multiple AWS regions and support AWS networking.
- Partner with engineering teams to support customer success.
- Communicate roadmaps, progress, risks, and change requests to senior management.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary Agile teams and contribute ideas, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant course.
- 2–4 years of experience working in a DevOps role with AWS.
- Strong experience creating and managing CI/CD infrastructure using Jenkins and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including AWS networking, multi-region deployments, cloud security, and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Artifactory in continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Python, Unix shell scripting, and PowerShell.
- Experience with VPCs, routing, DNS, Transit Gateways, load balancers, Linux, and Windows.
- Experience with complex data ecosystems and data quality and lifecycle issues.
- Understanding of software development best practices, testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architectures.
- Experience working on Scrum teams in Agile delivery environments.
- Experience delivering applications that are performant, resilient, efficient, and mindful of operational cost.
- Prior SaaS, PaaS, and infrastructure-as-code development experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, ownership, and proactive working skills are required.
- Helm experience, AWS multi-region deployment experience, and AWS cost-optimization experience are preferred.
