Responsibilities
- Own software development end to end, including requirements gathering, design, design reviews, implementation, code reviews, feature launches, and operations.
- Design and build reliable, scalable capabilities for Amazon DynamoDB and solve distributed-systems problems at massive scale.
- Lead architecture and design for new and existing systems.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technical leadership, and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and operational practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
