Responsibilities

Design and modify reusable front-end components for CBC/Radio-Canada’s digital platforms, including audio/video players.
Develop and maintain complex, high-performance React applications capable of handling high loads.
Ensure product quality and compliance with development standards throughout project execution.
Participate in Agile Scrum activities, sprint planning, retrospectives, user-story development, code reviews, corrections, and deployments.
Propose solutions to technical challenges and stay current with digital development trends.
Coordinate technical work with product owners, architects, and technical managers.

University degree or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of software development experience.
Experience developing complex and high-performance React applications.
Proficiency with CSS, SASS, styled components, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Mastery of object-oriented programming concepts in React.
Experience with Git and front-end performance optimization.
Experience with Next.js, Webpack, and Node.
Knowledge of SWR or another data-fetching framework.
Bilingual English and French proficiency, spoken and written, is mandatory.
Experience with React hooks, audio/video players, HLS, web streaming, design patterns, and other programming languages is an asset.
Strong communication, analytical, conceptual, critical-thinking, organizational, and teamwork skills.
