Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and operate scalable backend APIs for secure payments and related financial processes.
- Own applications across their full lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through production operation.
- Build services that interface with merchant systems and support checkout, deferred payments, risk steering, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with teammates on architecture, technology choices, code reviews, testing practices, and code quality.
- Contribute to technical decision-making and share knowledge to help colleagues grow their skills.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or experience as an IT Specialist.
- Prior experience building production services, ideally including operating them in production.
- Interest in learning new technologies and practices and building production services with customer impact.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with peers and across team boundaries.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, logical, and pragmatic decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with the Java ecosystem, ideally including Spring Boot, microservice architecture, REST services, and asynchronous distributed systems.
- Experience in e-commerce or payments is preferred.
