Base Salary
$98k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical solutions to business problems for the Product Consumer team.
- Build and maintain software features, web applications, asynchronous jobs, task queues, and API integrations.
- Handle operational issues, production debugging, risk mitigation, and enterprise architecture decisions.
- Oversee projects end-to-end, estimate work, and divide problems into deliverable parts.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Management, Analytics, and Operations to deliver business value.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team initiatives and priorities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with a programming language and proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages.
- Ideally, 2+ years of Rails experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining asynchronous jobs and task queues, such as Sidekiq or similar frameworks.
- Ability to solve problems in more than one programming language and select the appropriate approach.
- Expertise building software features, enterprise architecture, and API integrations.
- Experience deploying multiple web applications from a full-stack perspective.
- Experience collaborating with product managers to plan and scope products iteratively.
- Project management skills, including end-to-end project oversight, estimation, and decomposition into deliverable parts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience deploying software using Ruby, Rails, Go, or PostgreSQL, plus interest in mentoring and developing toward people leadership.
