Responsibilities
- Code, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and support application software and business applications.
- Build Java web services using REST and SOAP, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture.
- Develop responsive front-end applications and user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and related frameworks.
- Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and improve application usability in collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Create and present wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts while applying responsive design, HCI, and SEO principles.
- Collaborate with business and IT decision makers on user-interface requirements and solution ideas.
- Automate processes and write maintainable, supportable, and testable code to achieve operational excellence.
- Participate in production troubleshooting and overnight releases when needed.
- Follow development processes, coding standards, Agile delivery practices, and testing and automation practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building Java web services with REST, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture.
- 8+ years of hands-on front-end web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 8+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with SOAP and/or REST web services using Java and Spring or Spring Boot.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonatype Nexus, and other DevOps tools.
- Fluency in complex SQL and preferred experience with DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Kafka, data messaging, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, continuous integration and delivery, TDD, BDD, DevOps, and automation.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
