Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and maintain test tools, test cases, and automation frameworks for current and next-generation software platforms.
- Plan, develop, execute, and automate functional and data-validation test plans based on requirements and designs.
- Lead QA automation strategy and technical execution, including quality, performance, reliability, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and other technical teams on release planning and QA environments.
- Conduct defect management, issue research, root-cause analysis, documentation, and resolution in partnership with development teams.
- Support unit-test reviews, data-health and consistency analysis, effort estimation, task planning, and communication of test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 to 5 years of technical experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of applied professional experience in an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience developing and testing in Java and developing tests with Selenium libraries.
- Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling extensible, maintainable, and high-performance test automation frameworks.
- Strong experience developing and implementing end-to-end test strategies and understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment, with strong verbal and written communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience integrating software test automation into CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux; microservice architecture; backend/API testing; and Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
