Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for software functionality and quality compliance.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Perform functional, end-to-end, and API testing and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, design discussions, acceptance criteria, and defect resolution.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and provide detailed information to developers for resolving defects.
- Design test engineering solutions and verify them with test stakeholders and architecture authorities.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Support risk management, controls, policy implementation, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of functional and end-to-end testing.
- Strong expertise with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Hands-on API testing and automation experience using REST or SOAP and tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
- Proficiency in Java or a similar programming language for automation scripting.
- Knowledge of the banking domain.
- Understanding of software testing principles and software development life cycle practices.
- Ability to leverage AI for test optimization and data analysis.
- Experience designing test engineering solutions and validating them with relevant stakeholders.
- Knowledge of payments technologies such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, or real-time payments is valued.
- Exposure to JIRA and Confluence is valued.
