Lead Engineer - SW Development (C++)
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design cyber-security features, microservices, and cross-platform shareable software components.
- Develop and support cyber-security applications and microservices using C++.
- Participate in secure deployment of products and solutions.
- Design and develop APIs and work with containers and orchestration technologies.
- Apply automated testing, refactoring, documentation, CI/CD, DevOps, and software security practices.
- Support global product releases throughout the full NPI cycle.
- Make technology choices, estimate development tasks, own technical work, and deliver with minimal supervision.
- Communicate technical information across teams and stakeholders while mentoring and sharing best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- 5 to 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong C++ development and software design skills.
- Experience developing under Linux.
- Hands-on API design and development experience.
- Understanding of Docker and orchestration technologies.
- Understanding of DevOps, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with unit tests, automated testing frameworks, and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
