Responsibilities
- Define technical vision, strategy, roadmaps, architectural patterns, and engineering standards for AI-native and cloud-native systems.
- Lead development of AI platforms and infrastructure, including evaluation frameworks, monitoring, security, deployment, retrieval pipelines, embedding systems, and data platforms.
- Design and guide large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, managed AI services, ServiceNow integrations, and high-performance production architectures.
- Develop innovative solutions, prototypes, critical code paths, testing infrastructure, responsible AI guardrails, and infrastructure-as-code at architectural scale.
- Lead root cause analysis, critical incident response, complex troubleshooting, and initiatives that improve reliability and reduce future support burden.
- Mentor senior engineers, engineering leaders, managers, and interviewers; lead technical hiring and architecture reviews.
- Influence executives, product and engineering leadership, strategic customers, partners, and acquisition or technology-evaluation efforts.
- Define ServiceNow platform architecture, integration patterns, development standards, upgrade strategies, and custom-development trade-offs.
- Engage strategic customers on technical roadmaps, integrations, onboarding, issue resolution, and customer-critical initiatives.
Requirements
- 14+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years with a Master's degree, 5+ years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native and AI-native systems and LLM/AI systems at scale, including prompt engineering, agent design, retrieval systems, and production AI/ML services.
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling systems with third-party AI/ML services and platform APIs across multiple cloud providers.
- 3+ years of experience designing and building applications on platform-as-a-service or SaaS platforms; deep ServiceNow platform expertise is preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript/GlideScript, including ServiceNow scripting, APIs, and platform architecture.
- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, large-scale systems, data pipelines, embedding systems, vector databases, LLM orchestration, RAG, and retrieval optimization.
- Deep expertise with AWS, GCP, Azure, managed AI services, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Experience building evaluation frameworks, metrics systems, and production monitoring for AI/ML systems.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding, responsible AI, compliance requirements, customer-critical initiatives, and strategic technical leadership.
