Base Salary
$200k - $311k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define technical direction and architecture for AWS Network Services systems operating at internet scale.
- Own technical architecture and end-to-end delivery for networking, distributed-systems, real-time media, security, packet-processing, or cloud virtual-networking initiatives.
- Lead multiple concurrent technical initiatives and drive decisions across organizational boundaries.
- Partner with Product Management to propose and shape new products based on technical insight.
- Influence VP- and SVP-level technical and business strategy.
- Build and operate production systems involving distributed systems, protocols, hardware, security, and cloud networking.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience owning technical architecture, end-to-end delivery, and partnerships with senior leadership.
- Track record of leading multiple concurrent technical initiatives and driving cross-organizational decisions.
- Experience influencing VP/SVP-level technical and business strategy.
- Deep expertise in at least one of real-time transport protocols, DNS, distributed systems, network architecture, web security, game backend systems, large-scale packet processing, or cloud virtual networking and data-plane systems.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
- Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
