Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Build and maintain backend applications and microservices using Python and Java.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Work with cloud platforms, distributed systems, web technologies, WebSockets, and JSON.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements in software quality and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities in a large corporate environment.
- Contribute reusable engineering practices and guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with software engineering, system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Python and Java and experience building microservices-based applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus distributed systems and web technologies.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience developing and maintaining code in a large corporate environment and using database query languages.
- Preferred exposure to React.js or Angular.
- Preferred experience in banking and an AWS certification.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
