Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated tests using modern development techniques.
- Apply automated integration, regression, and unit tests across all application layers and the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Produce and analyze quality metrics to support engineering decisions.
- Triage test failures and maintain the health of the build pipeline.
- Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support teams to make quality part of the design process.
- Participate in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code.
- Support defect prevention, customer escalations, and customer experience initiatives.
- Follow applicable security policies and secure software development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing using Python or similar languages.
- Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing.
- Working experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud concepts.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Preferred experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated Python test scripts.
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Python, Java, or Golang is preferred.
- Programming, debugging, software architecture, and testing knowledge.
- Exposure to BDD, internationalization testing, performance testing, and resiliency testing is preferred.
- Experience with Linux and working knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based application development are preferred.
