Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated tests using modern development techniques.
- Apply automated testing at every layer of the application stack, inside and outside the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Produce and analyze quality metrics to inform engineering decisions.
- Triage test failures and maintain the health of the build pipeline.
- Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support teams to incorporate quality into delivery.
- Participate in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code.
- Help prevent escaped defects and participate in customer support escalations.
- Follow applicable security policies and secure software development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
- 6–9 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing with Python or similar languages.
- Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing.
- Working experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud concepts.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Preferred experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, or Golang and strong programming and debugging skills.
- Preferred exposure to BDD, I18N, performance testing, and resiliency testing.
- Preferred experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and container-based application development.
