Responsibilities
- Develop complex, highly scalable technical solutions for checkout in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Lead/Product Manager.
- Define architectural decisions and ensure delivery of reliable, state-of-the-art products.
- Lead and mentor an engineering team.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, QAs, and designers to release new components and features.
- Promote best practices in Agentic Engineering and the efficient use of modern AI tools.
- Manage deployment pipelines and contribute to scalable cloud-based systems.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of overall professional experience, including at least 5–6 years as a backend developer.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams or mentoring colleagues.
- Extensive experience in modern backend web development, particularly PHP 8+ in highly scalable, high-load environments.
- Strong expertise with Symfony and Laravel and best practices for scalable applications.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and Redis.
- Deep understanding of engineering principles and software architecture, including event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, and deployment-pipeline management tools such as GitLab.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with Golang is preferred.
- Knowledge of generative AI or similar technologies is preferred.
