Base Salary
$170k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant system.
- Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
- Write code primarily in Java using the Spring Boot framework.
- Manage data pipelines using Kafka/SQL or other interfaces.
- Own critical features and subsystems throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Handle operational aspects of the system to improve software usability.
- Ensure quality through early developer testing and performance testing.
- Collaborate with Product Management to refine customer requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder interaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
- Passion for software development and willingness to learn.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level.
- Familiarity with networking and security controls is a plus.
- Experience delivering containerized services in a Kubernetes environment.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot or Golang.
- Experience with REST API clients.
- Knowledge of CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible is nice to have.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
