Base Salary
$170k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop containerized services and associated components for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events, telemetry, and cloud data.
- Write primarily Java and Spring Boot code and work with Kafka, SQL, and other interfaces for data pipelines.
- Own critical features and subsystems through requirements clarification, development, deployment, and customer adoption.
- Own operational aspects of the system and develop usable, supportable software.
- Maintain quality through developer, functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.
- Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to refine requirements and understand customer problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
- Extensive API- or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot or Golang.
- Experience with REST API clients and Unix/Linux programming environments.
- Experience delivering containerized services on Kubernetes is desired.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge is required; networking and security controls experience is a plus.
- CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible experience is nice to have.
- Ability and willingness to continuously learn, follow technology trends, and work in a team setting.
