Responsibilities
- Work directly with international customers to understand workflows, pain points, technical constraints, and automation opportunities.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into solution designs and implementation plans.
- Design, build, integrate, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and operate secure applications, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud solutions.
- Rapidly prototype and validate solutions, present technical trade-offs, collect feedback, and measure business outcomes.
- Own solutions end to end from customer discovery through production deployment and operation.
- Participate in shift work, a 24x7 on-call rotation, and after-hours support as needed.
- Identify reusable components and incorporate customer insights into internal engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to independently lead requirements discussions, technical conversations, and customer presentations.
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of APIs, SQL and databases, system integration, testing, Git, containers, and CI/CD.
- Experience building, deploying, or operating production applications and services.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with ambiguous and evolving requirements.
- Strong expertise in at least one area including backend or full-stack application development, GenAI/LLMs, RAG, AI agents, AI evaluation, data engineering, or cloud/platform engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise customer experience, consulting or solution architecture experience with hands-on engineering, complex enterprise deployment experience, technical workshop or demonstration leadership, Japanese communication skills, or domain expertise in rail and transportation, logistics, FinTech, HealthTech, or supply chain.
