Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution across the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Build and evolve Community Support Engineering foundations such as routing, data platforms, case management, and foundational tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and global technical leaders to understand business problems and align technical strategies.
  • Design scalable, performant solutions for large-scale web applications, APIs, and high-volume data pipelines.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks while resolving complex engineering challenges.
  • Write high-quality code and design documents that set standards for the team.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices and technical excellence.
  • Coach and mentor engineers across the China team.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts and conduct interviews.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of software development experience, including 2 years at Staff or Tech Lead level.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python.
  • Experience delivering end-to-end products in globally collaborative environments.
  • Experience with architectural patterns for large-scale web applications, well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions, communicate technical trade-offs, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is preferred but not required.
