Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale optimization models using Gurobi.
- Build decision systems that incorporate predictive signals from machine learning models.
- Operate under multiple operational and business constraints.
- Automatically balance trade-offs across competing objectives.
- Improve existing workflows to maximize Gurobi solver usage and reduce job runtime.
- Partner with ML engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Conduct scenario analysis and uplift forecasts for strategic planning.
- Mentor and guide junior machine learning engineers.
- Influence technology strategy and product roadmap through an OR/ML lens.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science with a focus on optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with Gurobi and OR-Tools.
- Industry experience in building and deploying Gurobi-driven optimization systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business objectives.
- Experience working with outputs from machine learning models.
