Base Salary
$100k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and contribute to large-scale strategic planning.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
- Develop and support scalable solutions for counterparty credit-risk identification, measurement, aggregation, and reporting.
- Develop data-processing solutions using Apache Spark or comparable distributed processing technologies and SQL-based data lakehouse platforms.
- Review and resolve technical challenges, lead projects, act as an escalation point, and guide less experienced staff.
- Collaborate with risk organizations, business stakeholders, peers, colleagues, and managers to deliver compliant technology solutions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of software development experience using Java and Python, with proficiency in at least one.
- At least 2 years of experience developing data-processing solutions using Apache Spark or comparable distributed data-processing technologies.
- At least 2 years of SQL development experience with modern data lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Project Nessie.
- Desired: at least 2 years supporting Counterparty Credit Risk functions in capital-markets environments.
- Desired: experience deploying and managing Apache Airflow on Kubernetes or OpenShift, including Helm chart development and maintenance.
- Desired: experience developing and supporting Apache Airflow DAGs and workflow scheduling.
- Desired: experience with Harness CI/CD pipelines or equivalent technologies, Agile delivery teams, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
