Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, resource allocation, security, and availability architecture.
- Assist product and Scrum teams with application migration, cloud onboarding, application transformation, and adoption of native Azure services.
- Create application reference architecture patterns, deployment patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps solutions.
- Design and automate Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities and provision development, testing, staging, and production environments with Infrastructure as Code.
- Define, implement, and document cloud operational processes, governance policies, workflows, build plans, and test plans.
- Implement cloud-native monitoring, logging, financial management, identity, access controls, and security practices.
- Provide architecture leadership and technical direction for scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms.
- Create system architecture diagrams and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor team members and provide hands-on technical delivery and problem-solving support.
- Design and configure Jira workflows, validators, conditions, post-functions, filters, dashboards, and JQL queries.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, BTech, or related degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience working with an application development organization and delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation.
- Expert knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, high availability, Azure databases, enterprise migrations, and application deployment and scaling.
- Experience designing and automating Azure IaaS and PaaS capabilities, including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, websites, and data services.
- Extensive experience developing Terraform and automating environment provisioning with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Azure governance, operational workflows, monitoring, logging, cloud financial management, identity, access control, and security-aware architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, application registrations, and deployment best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to create architecture diagrams, documentation, detailed build and test plans, and appropriate architectural solutions from application requirements.
- In-depth Jira knowledge, including JQL queries, filters, dashboards, and workflow configuration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, conflict-resolution, diagnostic, analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with loosely defined concepts, manage change, develop internal networks, and translate business, technical, and financial issues into tangible deliverables.
- Azure Certified Architect Technologies (AZ303) certification is preferred.
