Base Salary
$97k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Develop comprehensive test plans from product requirements and participate in code reviews.
- Perform manual testing for product verification and user acceptance testing as needed.
- Investigate and debug test failures, production incidents, and flaky tests.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines so automated tests run reliably on every build.
- Build and maintain AWS- and Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure for test environments.
- Document test strategies, coverage gaps, and known issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, QA leads, and business stakeholders on a distributed team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or TypeScript.
- Ability to give and receive constructive code review feedback.
- Ability to isolate root causes across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data layers.
- Working knowledge of AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, ECS, and Lambda.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying, managing, or observing services in test or staging environments.
- Experience working in a team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred background in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated-industry software development.
- Preferred experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar tools.
- Exposure to performance, load, or security testing practices is preferred.
