Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java- and Scala-based backend applications for regulatory reporting workflows.
- Analyze technical and business requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable software solutions.
- Build, enhance, and support ETL and data-processing workflows for large volumes of trading and market data.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes across distributed data platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using cloud and big-data technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least two years of software development experience with strong Scala or Java programming skills.
- Experience developing backend services, data-intensive applications, or ETL/data-processing solutions.
- Experience with SQL and Linux/Unix environments, including scripting and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Apache Spark, Amazon EMR, Hadoop, or other large-scale data-processing technologies.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and experience in financial markets, regulatory reporting, or trading systems.
