Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software for C2BMC Regional Applications.
- Implement features, enhance capabilities, and resolve complex problems supporting operational missile defense missions.
- Translate requirements, use cases, and SysML diagrams into robust software components.
- Perform software analysis, technical support, troubleshooting, configuration, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Develop or modify operating-system-level applications and services for C2BMC.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, test, and operations groups to resolve issues and improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Prepare technical documentation such as design descriptions, test plans, test results, and user support materials.
- Support user inquiries and provide technical expertise for fielded mission capabilities.
- Contribute to improvements in team processes, tools, quality, resiliency, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field plus two years of experience; or a related master’s degree plus one year of relevant experience; or six years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- A current, active, in-scope government-issued Secret security clearance is required at application and must be held to start.
- Experience with Java/J2EE or another object-oriented language is required; C++ experience is desired.
- Knowledge of coding standards, peer reviews, automated testing, automated build pipelines, CI/CD, configuration management, and version control.
- Understanding of use cases and SysML diagrams and their role in software design and implementation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs.
- Preferred qualifications include Agile team experience, Linux-based enterprise application development, Windows experience, DevSecOps or build and release management knowledge, Maven, Git or GitHub, Nexus, Eclipse, and experience with large distributed systems.
- Experience with C2BMC, missile defense, command and control, or other Department of Defense systems is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring government clearance.
