Responsibilities
- Automate platform provisioning to strengthen DevOps practices and enable developer self-service.
- Oversee continuous integration and delivery pipelines and maintain their associated platform services.
- Configure monitoring and alerting for applications and platform services.
- Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot platform issues through end-to-end analysis.
- Develop reusable platform components, common libraries, frameworks, and services in collaboration with development teams.
- Implement proactive solutions that prevent future operational problems and support consistent application development.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of comprehensive experience with Azure and strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience in DevOps, automation, and/or software development lifecycle practices.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP layers and Internet services and protocols including SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP, and HTTP.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python is highly desirable.
- Deep troubleshooting experience using logs, traffic traces, configuration data, and automation tools.
- Production experience with Chef, Terraform, or Puppet for infrastructure provisioning across many nodes.
- Experience deploying and orchestrating Docker and Kubernetes containers in production.
- Experience with RESTful services, service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, Azure, and API Management.
- Knowledge of security, networking, and database technologies including Postgres, MySQL, and Redis.
- Experience developing platform components, common libraries, frameworks, and services for development teams.
- Ability to work across platforms and languages and design and implement large-scale distributed systems on public cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
