Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architectures using industry-standard technologies and frameworks.
- Design blockchain solutions and decentralized applications for private and public blockchain networks using verified cryptographic protocols.
- Develop backend applications and distributed microservices while influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Monitor and optimize microservices performance, availability, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain application stability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Implement monitoring and testing practices for blockchain infrastructure security and performance.
- Design and verify cryptographic protocols deployed on blockchain systems.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
- Contribute to software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, automation, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for traditional distributed systems.
- Practical blockchain development experience with platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar.
- Strong object-oriented programming experience with one or more of Solidity, Java, JavaScript, or Python, including backend API development and distributed microservices infrastructure.
- Understanding of blockchain cryptography, including encryption algorithms, key management, and key wallets.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure services such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI usage patterns and controls.
- Preferred: financial markets experience; Solidity smart contract development with Hardhat, Truffle, and Slither; AWS, EKS, and Docker experience; DevOps practices and continuous integration/deployment tools; blockchain interoperability; and RDBMS knowledge.
