IntuitResponsibilities
- Lead cross-team initiatives and collaborate with internal teams, external partners, clients, and industry groups.
- Gather functional requirements and develop technical specifications, project plans, and test plans.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert, mentor engineers, and lead a small team solving programming and design problems.
- Spend approximately 60% of the time on hands-on coding.
- Design and implement robust, highly scalable services and enterprise-class web applications.
- Make strategic technology choices, stay current with industry trends, and provide expertise in web technologies.
- Create technical documentation and PowerPoint presentations explaining architectural and design options.
- Solve vague customer problems end to end with accountability.
- Build relationships that support delivery of quality software products and services.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class web applications.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing robust, highly scalable services.
- Practical experience with microservices and messaging technologies including REST, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, and ActiveMQ.
- Experience writing scalable web application code with attention to accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and web and mobile design constraints.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
- 5+ years of JavaScript application design and testing experience.
- 7+ years of experience with mid-tier technologies such as Node and Java.
- Experience with test automation and unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience with relational database design and implementation.
- Experience with UI frameworks such as React, Backbone, and Angular.
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, and strategy development skills.
- Ability to mentor junior developers.
