Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of scalable test automation for mission-critical financial applications.
- Drive automation strategy across UI, API, database, and integration testing while using AI-enabled testing practices.
- Develop Selenium and Java automation scripts and write SQL queries for test validation.
- Validate Oracle-to-PostgreSQL database migrations, data integrity, and functional parity.
- Integrate automated testing into distributed, containerized environments and delivery pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to QA engineers and establish automation best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on cloud modernization, database migration, and quality delivery initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience; 7+ years of hands-on test automation engineering is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field and/or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C# for maintainable test automation.
- Experience with keyword-driven or data-driven automation frameworks and reusable framework components.
- Experience automating UI, REST/SOAP API, database, and end-to-end integration testing.
- Strong database and SQL skills, including validation across Oracle and PostgreSQL systems and data migrations.
- Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and testing distributed, multi-service environments.
- Experience integrating automation into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab pipelines.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools for test generation, self-healing locators, or intelligent test maintenance.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring QA engineers and setting technical direction for a testing practice.
- Capital markets, post-trade, or broader financial services experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and ownership skills.
