Responsibilities
- Develop, conduct, evaluate, and maintain automated system integration testing for newly developed or enhanced applications.
- Lead test automation strategies and provide testing oversight and feedback throughout requirements, design, implementation, and execution phases.
- Build reusable test automation functions and foundational frameworks across UI, services, APIs, and database layers.
- Create end-to-end business scenarios and validate that applications, systems, products, and solutions meet enterprise quality standards.
- Track test execution milestones, report issues and risks, and identify environmental and data dependencies affecting project timelines.
- Partner with Product Management, Application Development, DevOps, business clients, and other technical teams.
- Support delivery pipeline adoption, process compliance, risk and control activities, documentation, project coordination, and technical management.
- Mentor junior test engineers, verify work products, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience delivering software solutions with hands-on automated testing.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience with test engineering methodologies, test automation frameworks, and the software implementation lifecycle.
- Proficiency in automation across UI, services, APIs, and other software layers, as well as CI/CD technologies.
- Sophisticated Java and Selenium development skills applied in test environments.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages and proven frontend automation expertise with Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on backend automation experience for API testing with tools such as Rest Assured, Karate, and Postman.
- Experience with database testing, Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, and writing sophisticated SQL queries.
- Experience with Jira, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins; Unix, Python, and AWS experience is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Waterfall and onsite/offshore coordination models.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business and technical teams, with strong problem-solving, collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring junior test engineers and providing work-product verification and guidance.
