Responsibilities
- Define storage architectures and solution designs for enterprise customer workloads.
- Architect AI-optimized storage and data management solutions using scale-out file, object, and parallel filesystem technologies.
- Influence end-to-end AI infrastructure stacks spanning software frameworks, compute, storage, networking, data security, and datacenter deployment.
- Develop solution configurations, bills of materials, and SKUs in collaboration with Engineering and technology partners.
- Investigate new fabric technologies and storage platforms for large-scale AI deployments.
- Serve as a technical escalation point and represent the company in internal and external architecture forums.
- Generate intellectual property and influence technology strategies and multi-year product roadmaps.
- Present to cross-functional teams, senior leaders, customers, vendors, and strategic technology partners.
- Travel 20–30%.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in storage architecture, data platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in scale-out file and object storage, parallel filesystems, NFS/S3, erasure coding, deduplication, encryption, tiering, backup, and versioning.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, training and inference patterns, data analytics, Vector DB, KV Cache, enterprise cluster deployments, and AI workflow integration.
- Ability to define storage configurations that meet production-grade performance and SLA requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with cross-functional and senior-leader experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with industry vendors to influence next-generation technology design.
- Ability to translate business outcomes into practical, scalable technical architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of AI/ML or HPC performance engineering, benchmarking, scripting with Python and Bash, Linux, and datacenter technologies such as fabrics, cooling, telemetry, and cluster orchestration.
