Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases for business applications and reporting.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions using T-SQL.
Ensure database performance, integrity, and security.
Support database backup, restore, and recovery processes.
Monitor database performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
Assist with data migration, ETL processes, and system integration.
Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable data flow.
Maintain database documentation and participate in version control practices.
Review and validate AI-generated outputs and remain accountable for the accuracy, quality, compliance, and completeness of final deliverables.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong command of T-SQL, including query writing, joins, indexing, and optimization.
Solid understanding of database normalization, data modeling, and entity-relationship diagrams.
Knowledge of backup and recovery, database security, and performance tuning.
Advanced familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with ETL concepts and data integration workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and judgment skills.
Preferred: exposure to Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
Preferred: experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
Preferred: understanding of NoSQL databases or data warehousing concepts.
Ability to use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot while critically reviewing and refining their output.
