Base Salary

$140k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python software.
  • Build data analytics web applications, dashboards, and interactive user-facing analytics experiences using Streamlit or similar technologies.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and data access layers using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, validation, aggregation, and data quality capabilities.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to support integrity, performance, and query efficiency.
  • Create reusable software components and data services for reporting, visualization, workflow automation, and operational analytics.
  • Support Docker-based container deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain Git-based version control and contribute across the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions.
  • Apply software engineering practices that improve scalability, maintainability, testability, reliability, security, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with an active or obtainable CI polygraph.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
  • Hands-on experience developing analytics, reporting, dashboard, or operational data applications.
  • Experience with Streamlit or similar interactive analytics technologies.
  • Experience building backend solutions with FastAPI or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of web technologies, RESTful APIs, containerization, backend services, and user interface development.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL queries, data validation, data transformation, and basic data modeling.
  • Experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, repeatable deployment practices, Git, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Superset, data visualization, ETL workflows, data pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, multiple source systems, data governance, metadata management, access control, security practices, and performance troubleshooting.
