Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve existing codebases, conduct code reviews, and identify system-quality improvements.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to resolve technical issues.
- Investigate new technologies and participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Lead or participate in projects and mentor less experienced developers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java full-stack development experience.
- At least 2.5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Understanding of unit, functional, performance, and test-driven testing practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools, cloud or AI modernization initiatives, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
