Responsibilities
- Define and drive AI strategy across multiple teams and engineering-wide initiatives.
- Architect and lead the development of backend-first agentic products.
- Explore and evaluate emerging AI technologies, build proofs of concept, and turn successful ideas into production products.
- Lead cultural change and establish standards for engineering impact, speed, quality, and excellence.
- Remain hands-on through foundational coding, design reviews, and refactoring key systems.
- Mentor AI engineers and other developers building AI products.
- Advise engineering and company leadership on technical strategy.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience with a track record of multi-team or organization-level impact.
- Experience with enterprise-scale systems and multi-team architecture leadership.
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend systems in production.
- Experience exploring, evaluating, and experimenting with AI/ML-based products in production.
- Experience building GenAI products, including guardrails and online evaluation for reliable, secure, and safe systems.
- Strong AI/ML fundamentals with hands-on experience in model evaluation, A/B testing, and monitoring stochastic systems.
- Strong technical leadership, strategic vision, high agency, and willingness to dive into technical details.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
