Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software components.
- Write high-quality secure code in Java or another modern programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when implementing solutions.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating generated outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
- Apply software development life cycle processes, methodologies, and technical troubleshooting practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least two years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience with Java and Spring.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Preferred experience as a full-stack Java developer building enterprise applications.
- At least two years of experience with Java 17 or later.
- Experience developing microservices and deploying them with AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Elastic Container Service, and EC2.
- Experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying in AWS production environments.
- Experience with at least one relational database management system, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
