Responsibilities
- Build, test, iterate, and deploy internal AI agents and workflow tools for priority business use cases.
- Translate product requirements and business needs into production-ready implementations using prompt design, tool orchestration, and workflow logic.
- Integrate AI agents with internal systems, data sources, APIs, connectors, and workflow automation.
- Move prototypes into usable, maintainable internal products and own deployment infrastructure for internal agentic applications.
- Collaborate with product, IT, analytics, data, platform, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
- Design lightweight evaluation frameworks and improve agent quality, reliability, cost, and performance.
- Serve as the division’s subject-matter expert for agentic engineering and stay current with emerging AI tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications, agents, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini, Google ADK, or similar tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of multi-step workflows, tool orchestration, memory and context management, agent harness design, and structured output generation.
- Experience translating ambiguous problem statements into rapid prototypes and productionized internal tools.
- Experience integrating AI systems with internal tools and data sources through APIs, connectors, and workflow automation, ideally in AWS and/or GCP environments.
- Understanding of token optimization, prompt efficiency, cost-performance tradeoffs, and evaluation of agent quality and reliability.
- Familiarity with security, governance, observability, logging, monitoring, access control, and safe handling of internal data.
- Strong debugging and iteration skills, including identifying edge cases and failure modes.
- Ability to independently own end-to-end technical solutions and collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders.
