Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications and features using Golang and React.
- Build and maintain solutions within a distributed architecture that can scale consistently.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to design products.
- Develop and collect metrics to improve existing products.
- Deliver high-quality, testable features that follow reporting standards.
- Lead small development teams as needed to bring projects to market.
- Mentor engineering teammates and help elevate their skills.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams on internal and customer problems.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience building and serving APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience working with distributed, cloud-based architectures, including transactional outboxes or queuing tools such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
- Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Experience building consensus and advancing new ideas.
- Preferred experience with SQL-based relational databases through an ORM tool.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.
- Preferred DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with containerized microservice architectures deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
- Demonstrated history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications and prioritizing improvements using stakeholder or customer feedback.
