Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI agent systems that connect to data sources and tools through retrieval, API integration, and multi-step orchestration.
- Deploy and operate AI systems on cloud infrastructure while optimizing cost, performance, latency, and scalability.
- Apply optimization and machine learning algorithms to operational problems such as robot fleet routing, scheduling, and coordination.
- Build time-series models and forecasting systems for operational telemetry, including anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
- Develop AI capabilities for physical systems where model outputs drive or inform hardware behavior.
- Work cross-functionally as an AI and ML subject matter expert supporting internal engineering teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and deploying ML or AI systems in production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience developing LLM agents using retrieval-augmented generation, tool and API integration, and multi-step orchestration frameworks.
- Experience deploying and operating models on cloud infrastructure, including understanding cost, latency, and scaling tradeoffs.
- Applied experience with optimization or machine learning algorithms for routing, scheduling, coordination, or comparable hard problems.
- Experience with time-series modeling, forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics on sensor or telemetry data.
- Prior experience in hard-tech or physical-systems environments with real hardware and reliability constraints preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in distributed teams across time zones.
