Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise connector catalog, integration standards, security review gates, and onboarding playbooks for teams publishing MCP servers to AWS Quick.
- Build authentication, connector health monitoring, lifecycle tooling, and integrations with enterprise systems and third-party APIs.
- Serve as the senior technical contact for domain teams building MCP servers and ensure designs meet production-readiness and security standards.
- Build and evolve the AI Artifact Hub, knowledge ingestion pipelines, agents, skills, and workflow automation.
- Design and enforce fine-grained access controls, row-level permissions, authorization policies, and DLP protections.
- Build operational capabilities for cost tracking, circuit breaking, fallback handling, observability, alerting, and production reliability.
- Create evaluation frameworks, ground-truth test suites, and feedback-loop APIs for AI and agent workflows.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews; mentor junior engineers; and collaborate with AWS technical teams and a Principal Engineer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python for APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms, including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC authentication flows.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Terraform and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including fault tolerance, idempotency, eventual consistency, and graceful degradation.
- Experience designing and enforcing authorization policies in multi-tenant or multi-user systems.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to own work end-to-end.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI/ML systems, RAG, agent architectures, Amazon Bedrock, MCP, Snowflake, knowledge graphs, embeddings, vector stores, enterprise search, evaluation frameworks, FinOps, DLP, event-driven architectures, workflow engines, and internal developer platforms.

- Ability to work in the office three days per week and participate in an on-call rotation.
