Responsibilities
- Analyze stakeholder requirements and define system requirements for PlayStation manufacturing-related systems.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate applications and systems in on-premises and container-based environments.
- Design and build highly available, secure, high-quality applications and systems.
- Improve performance, quality, operational efficiency, and ongoing system operations.
- Analyze business requirements and system issues, including data consistency and transaction considerations.
- Work with internal and external development teams to drive development from a technical perspective.
- Conduct technical reviews and manage quality, progress, and collaboration with external development partners.
- Promote overall system efficiency using on-premises, containerized-environment, and software-development expertise.
Requirements
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications in environments where high availability, quality, and security are important.
- Experience developing and operating systems in Linux environments.
- Experience developing and operating systems using container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Full-stack development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs.
- Experience designing and developing systems using relational databases.
- Experience analyzing and modeling complex business domains.
- Experience designing systems with data consistency and transaction requirements in mind.
- Experience developing and operating large-scale systems.
- English technical communication skills sufficient for global meetings, design reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
- Preferred experience with Go, React, C++, Rust, SQL, or PL/SQL.
- Preferred knowledge or experience in security design.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI/LLM-enabled development is preferred.
