Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Cypress test automation frameworks.
- Create reusable automated test scripts, test cases, and custom commands for web applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate REST APIs and perform backend service testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Analyze test results and provide status updates, quality metrics, and risk assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress automation testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with API testing using RESTful services and tools such as Postman.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and the Software Testing and Development Life Cycles.
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Cloud environment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
- ISTQB certification and experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or capital markets are desirable.
