Responsibilities
- Become the global expert on alerting and monitoring within the Technical Solutions team.
- Investigate alert-related escalations across metric behavior, configuration edge cases, and backend evaluation logic.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to flag inconsistent monitor behavior and propose enhancements.
- Develop scalable diagnostics, reusable response strategies, and field-ready resources.
- Lead enablement through asynchronous training and live office hours for global Solutions teams.
Requirements
- Experience debugging alert misfires, delayed or missing notifications, noisy monitors, and complex alerting logic.
- Ability to interpret how data aggregation, gaps, and late data points affect alert evaluation and incident response.
- Confidence navigating APIs, tagging strategies, downtime configurations, and scalable alerting practices.
- Passion for helping customers reduce alert fatigue and improve visibility into meaningful signals.
- Familiarity with Datadog alerting systems, including metric, composite, anomaly, logs, and SLO monitors, is a bonus.
