Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement features for Smadex’s core products using Java and Node.js.
- Write clean, efficient, testable code and thoroughly test work locally and in staging environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
- Monitor deployments and help maintain production system stability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate on short-cycle tasks in an agile team, including planning and progress reporting.
- Share technical knowledge and support a “you build it, you run it” engineering model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with Java or Node.js.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency with Linux, Git, Docker, and Docker Compose.
- Experience with testing tools and modern CI/CD frameworks.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Passion for technology and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Bonus: experience with Redis, Memcached, or other key-value and in-memory databases.
- Bonus: familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
