Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Framework services and complex production software features.
- Implement and enhance protocol support across networking layers.
- Participate in technical design, architecture decisions, documentation, code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Investigate production and performance issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Contribute to platform modernization, data storage architecture evolution, cloud-enabled initiatives, observability, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Participate in on-call rotations and mentor junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, STEM, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience designing and delivering production software.
- Strong expertise in C and C++, with experience in Go and Python.
- Experience developing on Linux systems, including multithreading, memory management, and interprocess communication.
- Experience building and maintaining performance-critical systems and debugging complex issues with tools such as gdb, core dumps, and performance tools.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and packet processing.
- Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively, and drive work to completion.
- Nice-to-have experience with HTTP, SMB, Kerberos, TLS, Microsoft protocols, AWS or distributed systems, observability, on-call practices, and production systems.
