Responsibilities
- Develop and validate embedded software for humanoid robots operating in real-world environments.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, computing platforms, and safety systems into fault-tolerant robotic systems.
- Design and maintain core operating-system software, data networks, protocols, and fundamental software subsystems.
- Lead interdisciplinary projects involving robotic perception, computing subsystems, and software integration.
- Test and evaluate robotic systems to validate safety, reliability, and performance.
- Build tools, infrastructure, and operational practices for the robotics R&D team.
- Develop technical requirements, lead cross-functional collaboration, and document and present complex technical topics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying production software in embedded systems running Linux.
- Experience with C++, C, Rust, Python, or Go.
- Experience developing time-sensitive and performance-critical applications.
- Thorough understanding of Ethernet, IP networking, HTTP, or gRPC.
- Experience with Linux build environments such as Yocto or Buildroot.
- Experience building Linux kernels and modifying or writing device drivers.
- Proven history of leading cross-functional technical projects and developing technical requirements.
- Strong communication skills, including technical documentation and presentations.
- Experience working in small, fast-iteration, interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Nvidia Jetson and sensor data from cameras, lidars, radars, or IMUs is preferred.
