Responsibilities
- Maintain and scale the Native Component Library built with Jetpack Compose for use by multiple product teams.
- Improve Android developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, test automation, tooling, and automated multi-team releases.
- Maintain networking infrastructure supporting offline-first synchronization, intelligent caching, and secure data transit.
- Implement low-level BLE, NFC, and custom Wi-Fi protocols for secure and reliable hardware connectivity.
- Optimize secure, type-safe communication between web components and native sensors, secure enclaves, and system logic.
- Advise product teams on mobile architecture and evaluate patterns such as Server-Driven UI.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional Android development experience with deep Kotlin and Android SDK expertise.
- Strong experience with mobile CI/CD, including GitHub Actions or Bitrise, and test automation.
- Deep understanding of networking with OkHttp, Retrofit, and Protobuf, including unreliable network conditions at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth BLE, NFC, or Android background execution limits.
- Expert proficiency with Jetpack Compose and experience scaling shared UI libraries across multiple teams.
- Experience managing Google Play Store releases for high-frequency deployments with multiple contributors.
