Responsibilities
- Develop tooling and reference-architecture content for SAP’s Architecture Center across Platform, Data, and AI.
- Design and prototype distributed applications, event-driven systems, enterprise integrations, and agentic workflows.
- Build proof-points to assess technical feasibility, design trade-offs, and enterprise suitability.
- Research emerging technologies and contribute to technical investigations, concept notes, and strategy documents.
- Evaluate external products, vendors, and technology partners for technology due diligence and buy-or-partner decisions.
- Contribute technical expertise to company-wide and executive-level strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with product development, product management, and cross-organizational stakeholders to advance technology strategy and customer adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development and system design.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems and applications.
- Strong hands-on development skills and the ability to turn concepts into working prototypes.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Experience integrating applications, services, and data through APIs, messaging, or event-driven approaches.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including GitHub, CI/CD, and testing.
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies and their application to enterprise problems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and technical explanation skills.
- Preferred experience with GenAI/LLM applications, retrieval, tool integration, evaluation, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with SAP AI Core, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Joule, Azure, GCP, AWS, responsible AI, output grounding, and hallucination mitigation.
